RALEIGH – Brad Risinger, partner-in-charge of Smith Moore LLP's Raleigh office, has been named to the board of directors for the United Way of North Carolina (UWNC). The UWNC provides support to 63 member United Ways throughout the state.
Board members represent a variety of state constituencies, including donors and volunteers, United Way chief professional officers and key partnership representatives. In his position, Risinger will support the United Way 2-1-1 program, a directory assistance link to community health and human service resources throughout the state, and efforts to advance North Carolina's Housing Trust Fund initiative.
"Smith Moore has a long tradition of volunteer interaction with the United Way and this is a great opportunity to continue our firm's historic tie and to impact communities, and families, across the state," Risinger said. A veteran member of Smith Moore's litigation team, Risinger has been with the firm since 1996 and is a member of the firm's management committee. His practice focuses on product liability, antitrust and health care industry issues.
