Smith Moore's Ted Edwards Named to Board of Directors for Habitat for Humanity of Wake County

RALEIGH – Smith Moore LLP attorney Ted Edwards has been named to the Board of Directors for Habitat for Humanity of Wake County.  Edwards began serving his two-year board term on May 15.

"I am proud to serve on the Board of Habitat for Humanity of Wake County," says Edwards, a partner in the firm's Raleigh office.  "Habitat makes a real difference in the lives of hard-working families and improves the quality of life for our community.  It is my honor to play a role in this process."  Edwards was recently recognized by the Triangle Business Leader and the North Carolina Bar Association with a Power of Justice Award for his pro bono work with Habitat's construction of a new ReStore in Raleigh.

Edwards focuses his practice on providing counsel to owners, contractors and developers regarding construction project administration, construction litigation and OSHA/process safety management issues.  He holds an undergraduate degree in political science and sociology from Duke University and a law degree from the Duke University School of Law.
