Greenville attorney continues climbing leadership ladder with national organization
GREENVILLE, SC —Smith Moore Leatherwood LLP attorney Steve Farrar has been named to the Board of Directors of the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel (FDCC). Farrar moves into the position after two successful years serving as a vice president for the organization.

The FDCC is an invitation-only membership organization that consists of 1,100 of the leading defense attorneys in the nation, corporate counsel and industry executives. The organization is composed of leaders within the legal community who have achieved professional distinction during their career and who actively promote knowledge, fellowship and professionalism within the membership.
During his two-year stint as vice president, Farrar was deeply involved in membership relations and professional development and also served as program chair and convention chair respectively for FDCC summer meetings in 2008 and 2009. His tenure as a member of the board of directors will run through 2011.
Farrar is a trial lawyer and partner in the firm's Greenville office. His practice focuses on complex legal issues, including complicated business litigation, professional liability defense and major products liability issues. He is a graduate of the University of Virginia and the University of Richmond School of Law and was recently named in Woodward/White's 2010 listing of the Best Lawyers in America in four practice areas including "Bet The Company Litigation."
