Smith Moore Leatherwood Attorney Leads Bar Association Young Lawyers to Award-Winning Year

RALEIGH, NC — The Young Lawyers Division of the North Carolina Bar Association has earned two first-place and two second-place recognitions in 2009 American Bar Association Young Lawyers Award of Achievement Program.

Craig Cannon, newly installed chair of the NCBA Young Lawyers Division, said, "The results of the ABA Award of Achievement competition are a reflection of the tremendous amount of work that was done during the 2008-09 bar year by the 4,500 members of the YLD and the incredible leadership that was provided by Patti Ramseur and the YLD Executive Council." Ramseur, an attorney in the Greensboro office of Smith Moore Leatherwood LLP, was the NCBA Young Lawyers Chair for 2008-09.

The first-place honors in the Award of Achievement program came in the Comprehensive and Newsletter categories.
