Smith Moore Celebrates 'Tommy Holland Day'

December 27, 2007

ATLANTA – Tommy Holland, an attorney known throughout Atlanta legal circles for his skill, professionalism and civility, is retiring from Smith Moore after more than 40 years in practice. To recognize what he has meant to the firm, Smith Moore has designated December 27 as "Tommy Holland Day."

Holland began his practice with Carter & Ansley soon after his admission to the Georgia Bar in 1962. Carter & Ansley and Smith Moore combined their offices earlier this year.

"The high esteem in which Tommy is held by judges, colleagues and the hundreds of attorneys he has trained tells the whole story about the positive effect he has had on our practice and on his profession," said Sanders Carter, a Partner in Smith Moore's Atlanta office who has worked with Holland for three decades. "He has made our firm a better place."

Holland is a graduate of Mercer University and the Mercer University School of Law.
