Health Care Fraud and Abuse

Our health care attorneys assist clients regularly in achieving compliance with all state and federal laws relating to fraud and abuse in the health care industry, and in responses to state and federal fraud and abuse investigations.  In particular, we regularly address issues arising under the federal antikickback statute and state and federal self-referral laws, as well as the regulations promulgated under these statutes.  We routinely handle repayment audits, reviews, and investigations, particularly involving billing and coding matters and Medicare and Medicaid payment issues.  We also help our clients to structure their practices and transactions, as well as develop appropriate policies and procedures, to avoid noncompliance with Medicare and Medicaid fraud and abuse laws and other state and federal legal requirements.
