Jennifer Rathman's practice has been devoted to representing a wide variety of businesses in complex litigation and regulatory matters.  She regularly represents insurers, fraternal benefit societies, managed healthcare entities, employers, third-party administrators, agents, and ERISA plan sponsors in federal and state court pertaining to ERISA plans and individual and group life, health, disability and commercial insurance policies, including the defense of employee benefits determinations, breach of fiduciary duty claims, statutory penalty claims, and coverage disputes.  Jennifer also counsels clients on compliance, risk management and coverage issues, and the administrative review process for ERISA claims. 

In addition to insurance-related litigation and counseling, Jennifer represents companies and individuals in commercial disputes relating to commercial contracts, leases, cargo and freight claims, personal injury and wrongful death. Jennifer also has considerable experience with e-discovery, and counsels clients on document preservation and production practices.

Jennifer also devotes her time to pro bono work.  As a member of the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyer’s Foundation, she serves as a court-appointed guardian ad litem for children involved in high-conflict custody cases.
