Law & Politics Taps 27 Smith Moore Leatherwood Attorneys as "Super Lawyers"

GREENSBORO, NC — The 2010 listing of North Carolina's top attorneys, published by Law& Politics® magazine, includes 27 lawyers from the Greensboro, Raleigh, Charlotte and Wilmington offices of Smith Moore Leatherwood LLP. The North Carolina Super Lawyers selections are compiled annually by Law & Politics, based on surveys and research to identify lawyers "who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement," according to the magazine's publisher.

The North Carolina Super Lawyers list includes 18 members of the firm's Greensboro office. Four members of that office – Maureen Demarest Murray, Julianna C. Theall, Allison O. Van Laningham and Jeri L. Whitfield – earned the status of "top-50 female attorneys."

Three members of the firm – Jonathan A. Berkelhammer, Alan W. Duncan, and James L. Gale – were recognized as a "top-100 attorney" in their respective practice areas.
