Dave Krasnow practices in the field of chemical patents and has over 25 years of patent experience handling complex patent matters in fields including polymer chemistry, inorganic chemistry, optics, ocular science, pharmaceuticals, industrial gases, raw and specialty chemicals, coatings, refractory materials, material deposition and medical devices.

Mr. Krasnow's practice encompasses counseling clients in all patent matters and rendering opinions on complex matters including invalidity and infringement.  Mr. Krasnow often conducts due diligence on all Intellectual Property-related matters for corporate clients involved in complex merger, acquisition, divestiture and IPO activities, where IP rights and valuation play a central role.

Mr. Krasnow has served as in-house counsel with Bausch & Lomb, Inc. (Rochester, NY), and has practiced with private firms in Rochester, NY and Washington DC. Prior to entering law school, Mr. Krasnow served as an Assistant Clerk of the United States Supreme Court in Washington, DC.

Mr. Krasnow lectures frequently on various Intellectual Property topics, and has taught Advanced Patent Law courses at the University of North Carolina Law School and lectures annually at Duke University's Fuqua School of Business.
