Environmental Attorney Hayes Jernigan Finley Joins Firm

Raleigh, N.C. – Smith Moore Leatherwood LLP is pleased to announce the addition of Hayes Jernigan Finley to the Raleigh office. Finley’s practice will focus on environmental, land use, energy and administrative matters. Finley is the fourth attorney in the past five months to join the firm’s rapidly growing governmental practice group.

Finley received her bachelor’s degree from the University of the South and her law degree, summa cum laude, from North Carolina Central University School of Law, where she served as president of the Environmental Law Society. Prior to attending law school, she spent two years with the Peace Corps as a Small Enterprise Development and Ecotourism volunteer in Senegal, West Africa. She currently serves on the board of directors for Kidznotes, a nonprofit providing free orchestral training to underserved K-12 students.
