Overview

Mike Bowers has been a litigator specializing in complex legal issues for over thirty-nine years. Mike focuses on defending complex cases in the areas of products liability, toxic tort, trucking and transportation and insurance law. Before entering private practice, Mike was Assistant Attorney General for the State of South Carolina in the Litigation Section.

A resident of Charleston, SC, Mike is the former South Carolina State Representative for Defense Research Institute and former President of the South Carolina Defense Trial Attorneys Association. He is also a member of the International Association of Defense Counsel, Product Liability Advisory Counsel and Trucking Industry Defense Association.

Mike Bowers has conducted numerous mediations state-wide during his twenty years of mediation practice, focusing on the mediation of State Court, Federal Court, pre-lawsuit, complex and multi-party disputes involving a wide range of issues. Mike also offers arbitration and other neutral services. Mike’s legal and technical experience has made him a logical choice when parties are searching for an experienced and knowledgeable neutral to help resolve their disputes, whether through mediation or arbitration.
