GREENSBORO – Afi Johnson-Parris has joined the Greensboro office of Smith Moore in the litigation practice group.
Johnson-Parris graduated from the University of Miami with a B.B.A. in Computer Information Systems in 1994 and earned an M.B.A. in Technology Management from the University of Phoenix-Southern Colorado in 1998. She earned her J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law in 2002, where she was an editorial board member for both the Virginia Law Review and the Virginia Journal of Law and Technology.
Johnson-Parris has previous law firm experience, having worked immediately prior to Smith Moore as a litigator in the Atlanta office of a large international law firm and having been a law clerk intern for the Honorable James H. Michael, Jr., Sr. United States District Judge for the Western District of Virginia. She also is a military veteran, having served in the United States Air Force before attending law school where she earned her unit's honor of Junior Officer of the Year in 1998.
