On July 26, the Patent and Trademark Office hosted its annual Business Method Partnership Meeting in Alexandria, Va. As in the past, the PTO billed the meeting as an opportunity for the office and its stakeholders (practitioners and industry participants) to discuss topics specific to business methods. The meeting again included a discussion on the topic of statutory subject matter, but notably, it did not dominate the meeting as in past meetings.
