Smith Moore Leatherwood Named 2011 Triad Top Workplace

November 3, 2011

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Smith Moore Leatherwood was recently ranked the number one Triad Top Workplace with 125-499 employees by the Greensboro News & Record. Designed to recognize companies through the eyes of their employees, the special section honors businesses that provide strong leadership, careful collaboration and open communication in the workplace.

In a special section article, "At this law firm, it's teamwork, not competition", partners Kent Auberry and Kimberly Gatling reflect on their positive experiences at Smith Moore Leatherwood.

"It's a great environment here," Gatling said. "It's not one that I would want to leave. It would be difficult to find elsewhere the same level of friendship, congeniality that we have."

The list of top places to work was compiled through the use of a survey distributed by the News & Record in conjunction with Workplace Dynamics, a company that surveys employees across the country. Fifty-seven companies with 12,521 total employees responded to questions about Triad businesses and their leaders.
