August 7, 2013

Raleigh, N.C. — Smith Moore Leatherwood attorney Eric Snider was selected to join the Leadership Raleigh class of 2013-2014, a program of the Greater Raleigh Chamber. Snider joins the 29th graduating class with over 50 other program participants who represent a broad cross-section of young leaders from the business community.

Leadership Raleigh is a nine-month program for rising leaders that emphasizes team projects, community orientation and enhancing leadership skills. Participants study the qualities that make an effective leader, analyze individual leadership roles, and develop personal leadership styles and skills. They are then challenged to apply their talents by joining professional associations, civic clubs, public boards and commissions. Leadership Raleigh is unlike other programs because it provides participants with the opportunity to meet and discuss issues with key community leaders. Snider, a litigation attorney, focuses his practice on general and business litigation and defending businesses involved in employment and products liability disputes.. He has experience in all phases of litigation, including fact and expert discovery, motion practice, trial and appeal. He has also represented regional, national and international clients in significant personal injury, property damage and commercial loss cases.

Snider received his bachelor's degree from the University of Kansas, with distinction, Phi Beta Kappa, in 2002 and received his juris doctor, with honors, from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Law in 2007. Before practicing law, he was a Teach For America corps member and taught high school special education.
