Recipient of the 2011 'Women Extraordinaire' award

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Carole Bruce, an attorney in Smith Moore Leatherwood's Greensboro office, recently received the Triad Business Leader's "Women Extraordinaire" award. This award honors Bruce's professional legal success in tax services as well as her influential involvement within the community as a true leader of the Triad.

As a partner, Bruce has helped build the firm's formidable legal practice relating to individual income tax, estate administration and other tax planning matters. In addition to her responsibilities within Smith Moore Leatherwood, she is actively involved in civic service projects. Bruce currently focuses on her role as chair of the Greensboro Partnership and Trustee of Guilford College. She has previously worked with the National Conference for Community and Justice and the International Civil Rights Museum.

The Triad Business Leader's "Women Extraordinaire" award honors candidates who have demonstrated significant business achievement and community involvement. The Triad Business Leader recognizes 25 businesswomen and one lifetime achievement award winner each year.
