ACC-Charlotte Financial Affinity Group Roundtable Sept. 10

September 10, 2013 - September 10, 2013

Please join us for a social gathering and a roundtable discussion on Tuesday, September 10, 2013 from 5:00 - 6:30 p.m. at the firm’s Charlotte office at 101 N. Tryon Street, Suite 1300. We will begin with cocktails and hors d'oeuvres at 5:00 p.m. and then the discussion will begin at 5:30 p.m until 6:30 pm.

Bill Pitman will lead a discussion of projected implications of the SEC's elimination of the ban on "general solicitation" of investors for companies seeking to raise capital. Starting in September, businesses wishing to raise capital through private offerings will be free to engage in general solicitation and advertising. This will include:
• What are the basic provisions of the new rule?
• How do you think the new rules will change how firms raise capital?
• What might be the implications for financial institutions?
In addition, we will have a special drawing for a $50 GIFT card for any member who brings a guest (in-house attorney not a chapter member) to this event. When you RSVP, please indicate the name of the guest and your name will be entered into the drawing!

Please RSVP to Michelle Lafata at Michelle.Lafata@smithmoorelaw.com no later than September 9th.
